Interested in Taking Over a Lease?
What is a sublease? This means you are taking over or joining a lease for a lived-in unit. This means there will not be any major maintenance or cleaning done before moving in. It is your responsibility to assess the condition of the unit before agreeing to live there. You are welcome to submit an inspection form to let us know the condition of the unit when you move in.
How can I apply for a sublease? You can apply right here on our website- just select the "lease alteration" application. Please read the options carefully and select the option that represents your situation. Please call or email our office if you have any questions.
What do I need to do before moving in? Make sure utilities (water, electricity, and internet) are transferred from the current tenants to you. In addition, please obtain renter's insurance from any major insurance provider like State Farm, Progressive, or Liberty Mutual.
What are your renter's insurance requirements?
Please make sure that you get a plan that covers $300,000 in Personal Liability coverage, and that the policy has everyone's names on it OR that each person gets their own policy. Renter's insurance protects your possessions in case of unforeseen circumstances such as a fire or flood. Before moving in, please email us a copy of your proof of insurance. This is required for our records.
